SCAM: It was okay eating there until I decided to buy pints home for family. Check out the cookies and cream that presents more like a scam to me (see photo). Obviously only the top layer is cookies and cream (or. Oreo and cream, whatever they calls it), below is all vanilla?!
Cheating won’t get you anywhere! There was no response when I contacted your company on social media private message since 13th March. Very very Disappointing. So much for supporting local business.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone at all. Udders is even better. At least their flavours are authentic and they are honest to their customers. I like Baskin Robbin as well also because they allow trying. Giving you a 2 stars just for the sake of you all having to pay rent for a retail shop. But even so, you don’t even allow tasting, not something that will retain customers because some really don’t know which flavours to choose until they tried.
All in all, you’re the last ice cream shop I will choose if I really is desperate for one.

Waffle $6ish, double scoop $9.50 for some premium flavour. Honestly for $9.50 spent on just the ice cream, I think it is reasonable to expect the scoops to be compact or at the very least not with hollow centres in this manner?? The scoops are not even huge to begin with.
Felt so disappointed. Never had such an experience at the serangoon branch. Won’t be patronising this branch again for sure 🥲
Outlet is also very warm especially when it’s crowded. They are trying tho as there were additional fans and portable coolers placed inside. Waffles are decent. Ice cream flavours are interesting.

Quaint little shop at Anchorvale village. We dino it existed. Went in to try. Atmosphere is ok. But can’t try the ice cream.
Unfortunately the taste wasn’t really nice.
The Baileys didn’t taste like baileys but vanilla essence with alcohol. The cookies and cream also din taste like cookies n cream. 🫨
Really couldn’t continue eating it.

If you haven't had the nian gao waffles at @thebetterscoop yet, it's time to do it this weekend. I absolutely fell in love with the rendition at their new Anchovale Village outlet as it was just so good!
The Nian Gao Waffles ($6.80) we've got came crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I like how buttery and aromatic their waffles were, and that they gave a rather huge portion of Nian Gao! This gives them a chewy texture which was well appreciated.
To go with their waffles, we got their Peanut and Black Sesame Muah Chee and Tie Guan Yin ($9.50 for both scoops). The peanut and black sesame muah chee was such an awesome flavour, as it tasted very much like the muah chee I used to eat often as a kid. Both flavours in the gelato were pronounced and complemented each other so well! There were additional muah chee cubes within too. The Tie Guan Yin flavour was much lighter yet still fragrant, perfect for those who prefer a more refreshing taste. Both flavours are absolutely recommended.
Can't wait for my next time here! Definitely one of the best nian gao waffles I've had!

Went to visit Better Scoop at Anchor Village on the 25th July 2025 the staff JayyEn is very friendly and good service. The Waffle is very crispy to my liking and there are quite a selection of ice cream too.

4 star as they don’t allow sampling, it is not crowded 2pm Saturday. Ordered hazelnut Royale (very rich in hazelnut taste) and honey chamomile n butterfly pea quite sweet, both of it taste good

Ordered the Nian Gao Waffle with Muah Chee and Tie Guan Ying Ice Cream, overall not bad but the Muah Chee ice cream taste more like black sesame rather than Muah Chee

Super crowded on a weekend. The shop has 3 staffs but seems to be overloaded when they mixed up customers’ order. I just paid and sat down and was immediately served a waffle with ice cream with a wrong order. Another customer opposite came over and informed the staff but the next table family was shouting that they came first and ordered but was served nothing. Our orders took more than 20 mins to serve.
The waffles was nicely cooked crispy on the outside and cookie and cream is sweetness is just nice but theres no wow factor.
The shop was very warm, crowded yet is quite badly ventilated.

I had recently at the newly opened Anchovale Village. While exploring the area, I stumbled upon an ice cream shop called Better Scoop. With no long lines in sight, I decided to step in and give their ice cream a try.
I opted for their classic waffle with two scoops of ice cream - the dark chocolate and lychee raspberry flavors. The waffle was perfectly soft on the inside, just the way I like it, and the ice cream was delightful. I have a preference for not overly sweet treats, and their ice cream hit the spot for me. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed and can't wait to go back for more.
