The dal vadai was stale

Horrible service. 2 staff and 3 pax in queue yet one is serving the customers, while the other is playing away on the handphone.

Tried Original Vadai (Anchorvale Village) a few days back, it was awful. Very small in size, cold, and too much oily. Not sure if they make it fresh, but based on the batch of Vadai sitting at the counter, it looked like it was fried hours ago and had turned soggy. The brown paper they provided, it also soaked most of the oils. Definitely not a good experience. Note, in the picture, the brown bag soaked the oil from 1 Vadai only...

This is our 3rd visit. Our 1st visit the beverages we bought were up to standard. The 2nd visit, the staff said they ran out of cups for a few days. We ordered the Masala tea and teh Tarik this time. Both the beverage are kinda diluted. The Teh Tarik tastes like a 3 in 1. Maybe the 3 in 1 tastes better. Need to seriously improve on the beverages or lose more customers.

If you haven’t try this at Anchorvale village, I suggest you tried the original “Real” Indian Vadai at Little India Tekka Market, don’t waste your hard earn $ here…it’s ok to miss it…

I bought 5 prawn vadai and came with 5 green chillies. I asked for another $0.20 chillies and was given another 5 pcs . I told your staff I will not patronise this outlet anymore. Other outlets gave reasonable amount as I requested them to charge .

The good old vadai in NE now. The size is a bit small for $1.30 each but at least each vadai comes with a green chilli. (A must if you are eating vadai)

First purchase at the new outlet. Bought chicken skin and prawn vadai. Food are prominently displayed and the cook can be seen in action, frying away the vadais. Gave a 2 star rating for service as I was turned off by the reply of the cashier. Ordered chicken skin first but I guess he did not hear it and only heard my 2nd order of 1 prawn vadai. His reply was a surprised, '1 prawn only?' His face wasn't too happy as well. I repeated my chicken skin order again but his actions looks rather reluctant to serve. I mean even if I really did order 1 piece as a snack to enjoy after my main meal else where, I don't think I deserve such a unhappy reply? I have patronised the brand at golden mile hawker and many pasar malams. All were happy to serve. Such a letdown for my 1st experience here. Food is fantastic as usual !

Was pretty excited to find a branch of the Original Vadai in the area. Prawn Vadai did not disappoint, it's crispy and delicious! The 2 chaps at the stall were very friendly too! Thanked us for our purchase in multiple languages. It's nice to see happy people at the stall!
