Ordered their sliced red grouper fish soup with thin rice vermicelli ($8.50). Could use CDC but using Fairprice apps enjoyed 10% discount. No fishy taste and the soup was light and seafoody. Fish meats were thick cut slices and they were sturdy and good amount in a bowl. If you want something light, you can consider this, giving it a try. Overall a decent bowl of fish soup (3.8/5). Food handlers wearing mask while preparing the food. Can be busy during the weekend lunch period. Tables were clean and the place was well ventilated with big metal ceiling fans.

Paid $12 for a plate of grouper soup — got 10% off using the FairPrice app, which definitely made it more worth it. The soup was tasty, done in Teochew style with giam chai (salted vegetables) and tomato. The fish was super fresh, which really made the dish shine. Surprisingly, the queue was short and well-organized even during Sunday lunch time. It can get quite hot eating there under the sun, but thankfully the seating area is covered and cooled by some serious big-ass fans — makes it a lot more bearable. If you're in the area, I’d definitely recommend giving it a try.

This stall is located in a hawker centre on the 2nd floor of Anchorvale Village shopping centre, where the first floor is where the restaurants are located. It has >30 stalls and can fit 600 pax. Good ventilation given high ceilings, open layout and large High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) ceiling fans. Pricey as expected for fish soup. Quality - Pomfret soup uses golden pomfret, not white promfret (dou chang). Broth is quite thin. Pomfret/ Batang sliced fish soup $6 Grouper sliced fish soup $7 Red Grouper sliced fish soup $7 Parking - There is a MSCP right inside Anchorvale Village. Kids playground is located on Level 4 and can be reached via stairs from level 3.

Great that Soon Lee opens an outlet here. Very good fish soup, consistent in taste. Consistent in the thick slices of fish. It makes the price really worth it for the quality given. Ingredients are fresh. Queues are expected normally during lunch and dinner times. Ate a number of times and still doing so. Tried the teochew style red grouper dish too. Very good portion for the price and taste is quite good. Good mix of tomato slices, tofu and salted vegetables.

Today Is history!!! I came to this fish shop to eat, I order a red grouper. After collecting my food and brining it back to my table I notice the fish was black grouper. I brough back to inform the shop and what they did was beyond Singapore , they actually added the red grouper in my existing bowl and return it back to me with full bowl of fish !!! This is amazing !!! Kudos to the staff there!! I will return for sure!!! Excellent service recovery!!!!

The fish soup might be decent, but the service was unacceptable. A middle-aged auntie, likely in her 50s, repeatedly called me “Ah Jie,” even though I was much younger. It was awkward, unprofessional, and frankly disrespectful. Customers shouldn’t have to tolerate unwanted and inappropriate familiarity, especially when the staff is significantly older. Management needs to step in and ensure their staff address customers properly and professionally.

We used to frequent this stall for their grouper fish. A few days ago, we ordered 2 packets of grouper fish soup. Once we reached home and opened them, there was a very strong fishy smell, which meant the fish were not fresh.

This stall proves that given exactly the same ingredients cooked by different people, the food will not taste the same. The soup was bland, unlike those I have tried from other stalls, where the bee hoon was infused with tasty soup. I added quite a bit of soya sauce and ate only 1/3 of it. Disappointed.

Service Lapse at Fish Soup Stall I would like to highlight a frustrating experience at your fish soup stall today. I arrived at 10:00 AM and asked the staff what time the stall would open. Instead of providing a clear answer, the woman simply responded, “When the signage light is on, it is open.” I waited for 30 minutes in front of the stall, only to return and ask again. At that point, she finally informed me that the stall actually opens at 11:00 AM. This lack of transparency and poor attitude wasted my time. Given that I was standing right in front of the stall, she should have just informed me instead of giving vague responses. I hope you will address this issue to improve customer service and ensure clearer communication in the future.

The red grouper was really fresh and came in big chunks; however, the broth tasted very bland. I don't mind patronising again for the fresh red grouper.
