1. Portion is reasonable with lotsa meat. So pretty worth it. 2. Average soup broth taste. Somehow after meal doesn’t feel shiokness. 3. No 芋头饭 4. There’s always room for improvement.

Ate a few times now, the lean pork and pork kidney soup are just nice and tender. Some rice and abit chill makes a good meal.

Ate a few times now. Like the pig trotters and the well-cooked meats. Pig livers are cooked just the way i like, medium to medium well. The only slightly lacking is the soup. The few times that I have ordered the soup, I felt it is not flavourful enough. Seems to be missing abit of something. Can't put my finger to it. Nonetheless, I really enjoy their braised pig trotters and boiled meats.

TL;DR the pig's organ soup gets 3.5⭐ My wife dabao'd braised pig's trotters from this stall yesterday, so I thought I'd visit to try their pig's organ soup... (The braised meat was tender and savoury -- I could taste either the star anise or cinnamon used to cook it 😁 But beware the #SodiumOverload in the gravy; yucks!) My order was sans liver -- this is the other viscera included by default, apart from pig stomach. First sip of the warm soup revealed a slight but recognisable pig organ stench; since they don't serve pig intestines here (which is another "spare parts" I'd avoid lol), I reckon the smell must have come from the animal's stomach. Also, the soup was less peppery than expected. Plus kiam chye was added sparingly... The pork slices looked weird as they seemed not properly cut; tasted "blocky" rather than tender 👎 Meat balls fared better, though I don't consider this an ingredient of classic pig's organ soup 🤔 As for pig stomach, it's well cleaned and retained its chewy texture after cooking. Nice that it's sliced thin 😋 The killer -- and disgusting item to me -- is the all-fat pieces of pork belly! Such a turn off!!! Old folks would probably like it, though to the detriment of their health :( Disappointingly, they #CannotCookRiceProperly here. Making the meal much less enjoyable, as soup goes with rice... The chilli sauce is probably the saving grace to up my rating to 3.5/5. Luckily, #MHTamChiak likes their pig's trotters, so it's 4 stars overall 😆 I can see a revisit in the distant future...

The pork soup was delicious, with just a little MSG, since I didn’t feel overly thirsty afterward. The Mei Cai with pork was tender and soft. And the person who took the order was friendly and very helpful.
