Inventive Kids Play-based STEM Learning Centre

My child recently completed the fundamental robotics class with Coach Ricky, and it has been an incredibly positive learning journey from start to finish. As a beginner with no prior experience, my child was initially a little unsure—but Coach Ricky made robotics exciting, hands-on, and easy to understand right from day one. Coach Ricky is patient, encouraging, and explains things like coding, sensors, and robot building in a way that makes sense to young learners. He creates a fun and supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, experiment, and learn from mistakes. Throughout the class, my child gained valuable skills and most importantly, developed confidence and interest in STEM. Completing the fundamentals class was a proud moment, and my child is now eager to move on to the next level! My son attended a trial class back in July 2024, and he enjoyed it so much that he immediately asked to continue. Now, he is enrolled in the WeDo Tougher Robots program and loves every session. Teacher Ricky is an incredibly encouraging teacher, always ready with compliments. I appreciate how he provides detailed updates, including pictures and videos, via WhatsApp after each lesson. This allows us as parents to stay informed about what our child is learning and doing. It’s truly rewarding to see the joy and sense of accomplishment on their faces as they complete tasks and make progress. I love that the class size is small, ensuring that each child gets the most out of their learning experience. I enrolled my son with Inventive Kids for their WeDo robotics program during their time at Our Tampines Hub and now, my son is enrolled at their new premises in Anchorvale Village for their Spike Prime Robotics program. My son thoroughly enjoys the classes and looks forward to going to the centre every week. Ricky is very patient throughout all the sessions, always encouraging him to keep trying and learning from mistakes. He does not provide standard instructions on how to complete the missions, focusing instead on guiding the child how to approach a problem to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills. I can see that my son has benefited from this approach and it builds up his confidence every time he is able to complete a mission. Without fail, Ricky also keeps us informed of his progress after every class. Thank you Inventive Kids!

I have enrolled my son to Mindstorm Basic 1 class since 2017. Till now, he has completed quite a numbers of courses with Inventive Kids. He loves all the courses as he finds it fun and interesting. The courses allow him to learn knowledge of the sensors and programming to build models using his favorite Legos and also having some engineering and science concepts. Every courses have its own challenge and he needs to think and create his own design. The courses allow him to develop critical thinking, analysing skill and improve his observation skill as well. Class sizes are small and his teacher, Ricky, has deep knowledge and passion on the course itself and he is always there to guide my son and encourages him to work at his best level and even if the design does not work out, he will always give a word of encouragement to him to keep trying. He also maintains open communication with us (parents) and keep us informed about my son's progress. Now, my son is into another new level new challenge which he looks forward to every weekend. Thanks Inventive Kids for giving joy and fun to my son!

As I am writing this, I am surprised to realise that my son has been going for their programmes for 2 years now! And counting for sure. As an educator myself, I am very choosy and particular in the choice of centre and programme to enrol my children in. I need to be sure that my son has interest and some innate strength in it first and foremost. Secondly, the centre I choose has to share similar values as me. And in this case, Inventive Kids was a perfect match. They firmly believe in learning of mathematical and scientific concepts through play. My son does not even realise he is learning about shapes and numeracy and now, even decimals at Pri 2! He also learns about construction and gears and of course robotics and programming. The founders are clearly knowledgeable in this area and the teachers they have engaged are equally passionate in what they do. The fact that my son looks forward to every single lesson is a testament to the good work they do. And now, thanks to all the good things Big Brother has been saying, Little Brother is also asking to join one of the programmes! Thank you, Inventive Kids for being a part of my son's journey of discovery. :)

I love the Mindstorms programme, it was very fun and enriching! It let me be creative in both building and programming the robot. The teachers are friendly too!

we had been with Inventive kids for more than a year. My boy love the program. What he has acquire over the months are not only just on robotics but also his ability to analyse the different challenges, computational skill, proficiency in using the different component for attachment and robot building. He has develop a good positive attitude of “keep trying” and “can do” . definitely continue and recommend Inventive Kids as the team of teachers are just awesome!!!

My child did an introductory session and I was very pleased to see the progress he managed to make. Love the part where it is generally unguided and kids have to think for themselves, encouraging their problem solving ability.

My child really enjoys the robotics lessons and looks forward to attending class every week. He’s always excited to complete the weekly missions assigned by Teacher Ricky. My son, now in Primary 4, has completed the foundational robotics program and throughly enjoyed the romot missions. He's excited to move on to the next level. I appreciate Ricky's updates on his progress and the guidance provided throughout his robotics learning journey.

My son enjoy his robotic class with Ricky. I got update from him after every lesson. My son got a 1 to 1 session with him, which he feels more comfortable and confident.

I enrolled my son here to get him interested in coding since the centre used Lego play to engage the kids. My son had 1-1 coaching with Ricky who was very friendly and coached my son patiently. I also received detailed write-ups and photos of how my son built the various Lego models and used the coding app to play with the models. Every lesson involved an aspect of STEM and the basic concepts of physics and math were introduced to my son. Overall, the entire experience made my son more interested in coding and also building more complex Lego models. I would strongly recommend parents to try out this place for their kids if they want to cultivate a love for Lego and coding.
