Very nice porridge, but what is upsetting is the price. Grab shows $8/bowl; buying at the shop itself costs $4.50. I know Grab charges commission, but is almost doubling the price fair? Furthermore, we cannot check out the porridge order until we add an item, and the cheapest was an egg, which costs $1.20. My whole porridge with a discount voucher was close to $8, when I could have paid $3 cheaper if I had bought it there.

Porridge is average. You tiao is terrible. **The** portion can be pathetic for the price.

Ordered gong bao frog with porridge and was surprised by how much meat we got, and even more by its tenderness! The sauce was adequately seasoned, not overly so, and had a very balanced taste. Highly recommend if you’re looking for frog porridge. The place can be crowded at regular meal times, so I suggest coming during off-peak hours.

Ordered the pork porridge. Consistency was okay. Taste was okay according to my girl. But no youtiao was given, and I had asked them to check. No youtiao.

The worst gong bao frog I ever had. Not joking! So many black stains in the dish. How can one eat this? As you can see from my photos. What's more, they even mentioned it was a "must-try." I ordered 3 frogs, costing me $30. It was so expensive. The frog was overcooked, and the taste was only so-so. Frankly speaking, my advice to everyone is: don't even think about trying this.

I had a really unpleasant experience at this porridge stall recently. After ordering my food, I asked the elderly man preparing the porridge how much it would cost. He didn’t respond, so I asked again, this time a bit louder, thinking he hadn’t heard me. To my surprise, he responded in a loud, rude, and sarcastic manner, “Hey miss! I am cooking! Can you wait!” His tone was uncalled for and left me feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. While the food might have been decent, the way I was treated completely ruined my experience. It’s unfortunate because good service can really make a difference, but I won’t be returning due to the rude behavior I’ve encountered.

Witnessed a lady ordering for a disabled person seated directly in front. She asked if they could bring the hot bowl to the disabled person, and they replied, 'We can.' After the lady paid and left, however, they signaled the disabled person to come and get it himself. If they were not willing, they should have said so. They were free, but seemed to have difficulty taking three steps to bring food to a person who could not manage. As for the food, the porridge tasted like leftovers, the meat was not fresh, and the liver was overcooked. It was also overpriced.

Sorry to say, the porridge failed badly. Liver overcooked, porridge tasteless. The only good thing was the you tiao they re-fried, so it tasted better. Definitely not worth a try.

The porridge is quite smooth, actually, but my portion didn't come with fried fritters, even though other reviews show them included. Price-wise, it's above average. My bowl of mixed pork porridge cost me $6, and for an added century egg, they charged an additional $1.50. The pork fillings tasted bland and weren't seasoned at all.
