I’m glad I don’t need to travel to Yishun anymore to for this. The stall is famous for their prawn paste chicken. I ordered the fried chicken fillet that came with fragrance rice topped with a fried egg. The chicken was slightly on the dry side but the good thing is the prawn paste was not overpowering. The rice could use some improvement though. Overall, I think it’s a decent dish. There are options definitely, whether you want to order some small bites for sharing or a main dish for yourself.

First time trying the prawn paste fried chicken rice as it was always long queue but we came late, and most stalls are closed, so have to join in the queue. The wings are nice and crispy and the usual chicken rice garlic chilli is a good match. The rice, however, is a bit dry.
Give it a try if you have not tried before.

Generally a good meal.
Had the HCK cutlet rice, (ATAS).
A big piece of chicken thigh, well marinated and fried. Found the prawn paste OK but not as fragrant to the bite. Rice blend. Sauce compliments well. Overall not bad.

This stall is located in a hawker centre on the 2nd floor of Anchorvale Village shopping centre, where the first floor is where the restaurants are located.
It has >30 stalls and can fit 600 pax. Good ventilation given high ceilings, open layout and large High Volume Low Speed (HVLS) ceiling fans.
Pricey for the portion. The prawn taste is not overly strong. Rice is fragrant.
1 Prawn Paste Chicken Wing (wing+drumlette) $2.20
2 Prawn Paste wing rice w egg $6
Prawn Paste Chicken cutlet rice w egg $7.70
Parking - There is a MSCP right inside Anchorvale Village.
Kids playground is located on Level 4 and can be reached via stairs from level 3.

Ah Tan Chicken Wings beats Eng Kee hands down for me in this hawker centre. They are particularly known for their Har Cheong Gai (prawn paste chicken). If you are still on the lookout for an exceptional Har Cheong Gai within Singapore, this is a must-try. They have a couple of other outlets across the island as well.
Very crispy, super fresh, and goes superbly well with the special chili sauce on the side. Every wing and drumlet is also kept very fresh and you can see at the background that they are prepared and fried on the spot as well, although marination is completed for at least 2 days in advance to ensure that the flavours are fully absorbed and consistent. Overall not too greasy as well.
I ordered the Prawn Paste Wings ($2.20) a la carte, which gets you one wing and one drumlet, but most will order the chicken with rice and egg in the Wing Wing Set ($6). Super delicious and one of the best stalls here for sure. Super affordable, stall owners are very friendly and always greets everyone with a nice smile. Queue may be long (which proves its quality!), but it moves really efficiently because of the straightforward order menu and system in place.

Prawn paste fried chicken looks popular here so I decided to give it a try. There is no more cutlet as I was a bit late, 8pm. Tried the fried chicken wing rice.. the wings are pretty well fried and I got to eat the freshly fried crispy fried chicken, not the best but good enough hawker food. Rice got some fragrant but not soft enough. Only concern is that I found a nose hair like thingi, seems like fried harden.. I hope I'm wrong 😅.. benefit of doubt, my rating discounted this thingi.

Had the chicken thigh set. its not overly oily. Some deep fried meat, the oil will drip once you bite into it. the thigh is juicy and i felt the prawn paste wasn't too overwhelming. Sprinkling the lemon enhanced the taste of the piece of meat. The flavored rice that came with the set tasted nice as well. despite having only lady manning the stall during lunch time, the queue was reasonably fast.
Would recommend this stall.

Wah this hawker centre is becoming my preferred makan place of the few which sprouted out in the vicinity recently. Beside one of my fav fish soup stall is Ah Tan Wings 🤩🤩🤩 which I got to know from groupbuy last time.
✨ Atas Cutlet Set
Need no description. Those who like prawn paste chicken should hop over and try itself.
✨ Prawn Paste Wings
How to know if my parents like it? Buy extra 2 wings to share but they 静悄悄 polish all liao, despite cutting down on fried food 😆😆😆. Nothing left for me 😅😅😅.

$2.20 a wing and drumlet. U will expect a big wing. What i got when i open my box is a miserable looking wing. Scrawny. Over fried. Such a disappointment. I asked how long will it take for tao pao. The cashier looked impatient and shouted back at me "depends on what u want?". And then said two mins after i clarifed i wanted only to takeaway chicken wing. Such a disappointing experience. I have tasted better prawn paste wings. This is a stall i wont go back again.

I saw the shop from afar and wanted to try immediately. But I was taken aback the moment I see an endorsement from a food blogger. I tend to disagree with most food bloggers but I just had to trust my own instinct based on first impressions.
The menu is interesting. Typing a chicken wing is a 3 piece thing but here, a wing is the mid-joint+tail only, and a drumlet is labeled differently. So if you’re paying $3.50 for Set C, you get rice and one whole wing and that’s it. They call it 1 wing, 1 drumlet and rice. That’s like buy a tap with the handle and the faucet spelt in your face.
For $6.60 you get 2 wings, 1 egg and rice
For $7, u get a chicken fillet, egg and rice.
I went for the $7 set (B) which I think is most value for money.
The chicken is ok, the har jeong not too powering and it’s crispy. So no complaints there. The rice is almost tasteless. I had to supplement it with the chilly sauce which I think is the life saver for the day. So if you’re a non spicy eater, I won’t recommend this shop. Maybe just buy the chicken wings but check out if they’re selling you the entire wing or just the mid joint or drumlet.
