Embracing Sustainability This Lunar New Year: The Red Packet Recycling Program

Anchorvale Village and Geneco Red Packet Recycling Program

As the festivities of the Lunar New Year unfold, the tradition of exchanging red packets remains a cherished symbol of fortune and blessings. However, once the celebrations conclude, many of these beautiful envelopes are often tucked away or discarded. This year, Anchorvale Village is proud to announce a meaningful partnership with Geneco to give these symbols of luck a second life through our Red Packet Recycling Program.

Give Your Red Packets a New Legacy

From January 16 to March 31, 2026, we invite the community to join us in an effort to reduce waste and promote a circular economy. By participating in this initiative, you are helping to transform today’s festive traditions into a sustainable legacy for tomorrow. It is a simple yet impactful way to nurture a brighter and more beautiful world for future generations while keeping the spirit of the season alive.

How You Can Participate

Contributing to this green initiative is easy and can be done in three simple steps. First, collect your unused or old red packets from this year or previous celebrations. Next, please ensure that any non-paper elements, such as ribbons or plastic decorative pieces, are removed to ensure the paper can be processed efficiently. Finally, visit the Level 1 Information Counter at Anchorvale Village and drop your packets into the designated blue recycling bin.

Small Steps for a Greener Future

Every contribution counts toward our goal of zero waste. By taking a moment to recycle, you are joining a collective movement to #PowerTheChange. We look forward to seeing the community come together at Anchorvale Village to celebrate the Lunar New Year with both joy and a commitment to environmental stewardship.
